Care College is focussed on providing its students with skills and knowledge to turn their passion into a viable career opportunity.
Care College provides training in Aged Care, Home and Community Care (HACC) and Disability Care. Care College will equip you with the theoretical and practical components to gain a qualification to enable you to secure employment as a Personal Care Worker in one of these industries.
According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, 1 in 7 Australians are aged 65 years or over and in 2009 1 in 5 Australians had a disability (4 million people) and the number is increasing with population growth. The industry is in constantly seeking qualified professionals to work in the Aged Care, HACC and Disability fields to help those who need it the most. A Care College qualification will ensure that you are workforce ready when you graduate.
In late 2013, Care College was bestowed the honour of being able to deliver Certificate III in Aged Care courses as part of the Queensland government’s Certificate III Guarantee program. As part of the Guarantee, the Queensland Government will subsidise the training costs for people who do not yet have a post-school Certificate III or higher qualification. This includes people who are already working full time or part time, are seeking employment or looking to change careers. Depending on your location, participants need only pay $150 - $300 for the full Certificate III (the government pays the balance, valued between $2000 and $3000). If you are a job seeker and are registered with a Job Services Agency (JSA), your JSA may pay all or some of your student fee effectively meaning you may pay $0.
