90% of our students gain employment

Be part of Australia's fastest growing industries.

According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, 1 in 7 Australians are aged 65 years or over and in 2009 1 in 5 Australians had a disability (4 million people) and the number is increasing with population growth. The industry is in constantly seeking qualified professionals to work in the Aged Care, HACC and Disability fields to help those who need it the most. A Care College qualification will ensure that you are workforce ready when you graduate.

The Child Care sector is a significant industry equating nationally to over 140,000 jobs.

Research shows that 90% of all four year olds attend some type of formal care. One of the biggest challenges facing the industry is the recruitment and retention of  a qualified workforce, and ensuring a career in childcare is satisfying, respected and financially viable.

With new changes to government regulations, now if you wish to work in Child Care you MUST hold or be enrolled in a Certificate III qualification and 50% of centre staff MUST hold or be enrolled in the Diploma qualification. Currently Child Care Centre managers and early childhood (pre-primary school) teachers are on the Skills Shortage List. This equates to great job opportunities for those who are keen to begin their careers.

As this is one of the industries identified for significant employment growth over the next 2 years, now is a great time to upgrade your skills and qualifications by undertaking study in Early Childhood Care and Education.

At any given moment there are 100’s of jobs advertised on Seek with organisations desperate for trained Aged Care, Disability Care, HACC and Child Care workers. Is it time to start your new career?
